Earning your certification demonstrates to the public and profession that you have voluntarily met the highest national standards for practice. Communicating your credentials in today’s ever-expanding online marketplace can be challenging, but doable with the use of digital badges. National Certified Counselors who have taken advantage are getting multiple benefits from the badges.
NBCC has established this opportunity so that you may easily and quickly share verified proof of your professional achievements wherever and whenever you choose. Where applicable, certifications will be represented by a digital image that also describes the rigorous process necessary to earn them.
Together with our badge partner, Acclaim, we can help our National Certified Counselors learn best practices for downloading and using badges. Learn more from the videos linked below.
A badge issued through Acclaim is a digital representation of your accomplishment in earning national certification.
Acclaim is a digital badging platform backed by Pearson, the world's leading learning company. Acclaim has issued millions of badges from reputable organizations for career-advancing achievements that help individuals grow professionally.
Once you have been issued a badge from NBCC you will receive an email notification from Acclaim (no-reply@youracclaim). That email will include instructions for claiming your badge.
If you've been issued a badge, it's because you've had a significant professional accomplishment. Take credit for your abilities and increase your chances of being noticed by your network and potential employers by displaying your badge over LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other online destinations.
All information regarding you and your credentials can be easily configured in your Acclaim account. You’re in complete control of the information about yourself that’s made public.
