In the counseling world, the era of a mobile workforce means growth of innovative services such as telemental health services and military-friendly license processes. But being a counselor must hold the same meaning from state to state, and that makes a national portability process more vital than ever.
Four major counseling organizations have collaborated to propose the National Counselor Licensure Endorsement Process, which would allow counselors who meet required standards to easily begin practice in different states.
